In the past I have found the service quite good, but was disappointed this time. I didn't receive my package by the date I thought I would (I was told that the courier left a note, but there was no note at my property) and when I called to ask about the package I only had one more delivery day until my daughter's party. Both Yellow Moon and the courier refused my request to leave the package without a signature. I understand that YM has a policy about this, but surely the policy is only as good as a satisfied customer. The courier delivers between 7 am and 7 pm, which is clearly unacceptable if you want a signature. There are not many people who can sit in for 12 hours nor are most offices open for 12 hours a day. Giving a daytime address helps but is no guarentee that someone will be there to sign for a package. If the customer needs the package they don't really care if it's been signed for or not. Surely there is a better way to insure against the minority of packages that go astray. Also, courier should be able to use his common sense about whether it would be acceptable to leave a package without a signature.
