I love the idea of it, the product range is great, and I love the fact that money goes to my son's school. I mostly like the products and there's a brilliant range of well-priced craft items. I bought a lot of things for Christmas, and also for party bags, and was really pleased with it.
However, the January order was a bit of a disaster and I sent several items back.
I feel very strongly that some of the information about the age the products are for is misleading as there is a discrepancy betwween what it says in the brochure/ website and what is on the packaging.
I bought a number of items as presents for birthday parties (for three to five year olds) but one item said it was aged eight plus when it arrived. As a mum I can look at it and judge whether it's OK for my own child - but I barely know the children whose parties we are going to and don't feel I can give them a present for an eight year old. Even if the mother decides the item is suitable, it looks like I haven't bothered to put any thought into it!
I have already communicated this to Yellow Moon, who said they'd look into it and gave me a Freepost address for returns, but didn't say any more than that.
Despite this experience I recently put in another order (my neice wanted something specific from the brochure) and I still really like the product range. I bought a couple of extra things, including a toy ark and animals for a one-year-old. It said "suitable for all ages" but when I received it there was a sticker on it saying not for the under threes. I don't know whether to give it to him or not.
Please sort this out, Yellow Moon! It's not hard and it makes me think poorly of your company.
