The first Tudor ruler was Henry VII, and the last Elizabeth I. During the time of the Tudors’ reign, we saw the exploration of America, Henry VIII’s many marriages which led to the secession from the Catholic Church and the formation of the Church of England, and of course the life and work of William Shakespeare and many other great writers and artists.
Tudor crafts are a great way to enhance children’ studies of this historical period. Encourage them to have a go at Tudor masks, depicting some of the key rulers, or perhaps they could make their own Tudor hand puppets to act out scenes from history!
